Quite central , short walk from avenue 5 and the main beach. Paid approx 45 euro a night room only . Checkin 3pm not before (inflexible, first time had this... read more in Central America and hotel wasnt fully booked). Bathroom shower needed to be run for approx 10 minutes to get vaguely warm, everytime. loads of building work surrounding the hotel starting at 730am , 6 days a week. see photos. main bedroom very clean and modern and wifi and tv very good. rooms also include good fridge freezer and microwave. beds very comfy and airconditioning very effective. However for the money paid, on a side street , this really is double the price for what the room should cost. I could have stayed 2 nights at the axkan arte hotel in Palenque for the price of 1 night here. The difference between here and the axkan arte hotel was huge... this place is a tarted up budget hotel. nothing more. axkan arte hotel was a good resort hotel with far bigger rooms and more facilities. I stayed 9 nights at this hotel after Thanksgiving through December 7th, and have rescheduled with them to go back in February! The staff is very helpful and accommodating. They... read more also speak very good English. My room was on the second floor overlooking the pool. I had no WiFi issues. The morning coffee was hot and very good. I was about a block and a half away from my son’s apartment. Perfect location for me!
The staff of this hotel made our stay very pleasant and we're helpful with any queries we have had. I forgot to ask for the name of the very helpful... read more man, who had been so helpful throughout our visit, from recommending beaches, to making reservations at restaurants.
Rooms were okay, the pool was usually empty which was a nice bonus for us (guess the hotel wasn't busy at all around this time of the year).
We'd love to visit again soon!
Check in was quick and efficient. The rooms were clean and spacious. Not far of a walk to the beach and good restaurants. The hotel staff were great very accommodating.... read more It was very safe. All in all had a great time in playa and part of the reason was this lovely hotel. Special thanks to Alfredo for making our stay even better!
This is a small boutique hotel just three streets up from 5th avenue in Playa. They are under renovation or owner change. Not sure. However the place was very clean... read more and served its purpose for us. Room had no fridge or hangers. We did get some from the desk. They have no restaurant but 5 th avenue has all you need to eat. We slept here used the pool and the staff were really friendly. Although speed is not a priority in Mexico. This was a terrific place to explore Play from and we would return today if we could. Thank you for all the great restaurant recommendations.
What looks to be a fancy boutique hotel from the outside is nothing more then a budget hotel inside. When I arrived there were lots of families and people that... read more you would not expect at a "boutique" hotel. The entryway fountain was dry and not working, upon closer inspection of the lobby you notice a water stained sofa and nicks and scraps all over. The place needs some touch ups. The room was pretty small even though we had three adults staying there. No headboard or side tables, not a big deal but different than photos. The wifi was not working although the repair people were outside, it never worked while we were there. The hot water did not work the first afternoon there but did the second day. The room had a window facing a courtyard but the windows are so thin that you could hear people walking around at night and even someone carrying a crying baby around. This was a big mistake of the hotel to use cheap windows. The blackout curtain had about 15 holes in it and should be replaced. I would not want to spend more than one night here. I stayed in room #5. The pools is sufficient for a dip. Other then that it isa budget hotel with smaller rooms.
